High School Graduation Requirement

Students enrolled in secondary education at Oakstone Academy Palm Beach must meet the following requirements in order to receive a diploma:

English 4 credits 4 credits of English while in high school
Mathematics 4 credits 4 credits of Math while in high school, including: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II
Science 3 credits Physical Science, Chemistry, Biology
Social Studies 3 credits World History, U.S. History, American Government (1⁄2 credit) and Economics (1⁄2 credit)
Foreign Language 2 credits 2 consecutive years of the same language
Fine Arts 1 credit
Physical Education 1 credit
Electives 6 credits Any course taken in addition to the core subjects
Total Credits 24 credits

A cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale is required for graduation.

All Oakstone students are required to participate in community service for a minimum of 10 hours per year. By May 1st of senior year, students must have submitted documentation for at least 40 hours of service in the community.

We recommend that college-bound students take the PSAT in 9th and/or 10th grade, and the SAT and/or ACT in 11th grade.
